Transfer News: Premier League icon blast Arsenal for signing Chelsea outcast

Former Premier League players, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher have voiced out their frustrations over Arsenal’s decision to sign Chelsea ‘rejects’ David Luiz and Willian.

David Luiz and Willian joined Arsenal after their contract at Chelsea were not renewed.

However, they have both failed to impress at the Emirates.with David Luiz leaving on a free transfer this summer and Willian expected to follow suit in 12 months’ time when his contract runs out.

Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher has now shared his thoughts on Arsenal signings both players.

Carragher whole speaking on Sky Sports’ The Overlap fan debate stated that in the years since Arsene Wenger left, or since Arsenal won the title, for an outsider it’s been difficult to get behind anything with Arsenal in terms of, okay they’re not winning, but you can sort of see where this is going.

He noted that when you’re talking about Edu as sporting director and he’s bringing David Luiz and Willian in, two rejects from Chelsea.

Carragher stated that he’s just scratching his head thinking, ‘I can’t get behind this, it’s wrong, it doesn’t work’.”

When a fan tried to argue back, Carragher responded that a team is allowed to make mistakes, but make the right mistakes.

He asked why Arsenal are buying rejects from Chelsea who are over 30? And then giving them big deals and they can’t get rid of them? That’s a mistake before it’s happened. That’s just stupid.
