The UEFA Champions League continued on Wednesday night and Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, was at the top of his game as usual.

Haaland has now surpassed Neymar and matched former Chelsea star Didier Drogba in the Champions League goalscoring ranks.

This comes as Haaland scored a brace as Man City defeated Sparta Prague 5-0 on Wednesday night.

The Norwegian’s first was a stunning back-heel volley, which left fans stunned.

Following his recent performance, the 24-year-old has now scored 44 Champions League goals, the same number as Didier Drogba and more than players like Neymar and Alessandro Del Piero.

Haaland however still has a long way to go to match Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the top scorer in Champions League history.

Ronaldo scored 141 goals in the competition, while the only other player to crack 100 is Lionel Messi, who scored 129, both of whom are no longer playing in the European tournament.

While Ronaldo is currently in Saudi Arabia, Messi is in the United States, and have both remained at top forms for their respective clubs.

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski now has 97 goals to his name, after scoring for Spanish club Barcelona in their 4-1 thumping of German side Bayern Munich.
