Like other top clubs in the Premier League, West Ham have been linked with several players this summer transfer window.

One of the players on the Hammers target list is Man Utd defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

A recent report has suggested that West Ham are serious in their bid for the defender as they have reportedly started negotiations with the Red Devils regarding the signing of Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham want to hand an active squad that is capable of earning a return to Europe to their manager Julen Lopetegui ahead of next season.

Recall that the Hammers signed defender Max Kilman and winger Luis Guilherme from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Palmeiras respectively, with the deals worth around £65m.

A report via Sky Sports revealed West Ham have made their move for the 26-year-old, who has a year left on his contract with the Red Devils.

Man United are said to value Wan-Bissaka around £15m, an amount West Ham hope to lower during their discussions.

While Wan-Bissaka would like to return to London, the defender is said to want to assess his options.

Manager Lopetegui has been a admirer of Wan-Bissaka for some time as he had wanted to sign him for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window in 2023.
