Chelsea’s move to sign Atletico Madrid striker, Joao Felix has gained momentum and could happen anytime soon, with the Portugal international currently en route to London for his medicals.

According to the reports, Chelsea had agreed to pay a massive loan fee to secure Felix’s transfer for the rest of the season.

Chelsea will pay €11m (£9.7m) to take Felix on loan this January transfer window.

It was also said that Felix’s salary will also be covered in full, which includes another £5.3 million while the player’s agent Jorge Mendes is also believed to be receiving a fee as part of the deal.

The west London club are also making moves to get an option to buy the 23-year-old permanently at the end of his loan, however, talks have advanced to a stage where Felix has now been granted permission to fly to London.

Felix was seen leaving Atletico Madrid’s training complex by El Chiringuito TV’s cameras on Tuesday morning to London.

The Blues will hope to finalise the player’s medical on time for him to face Fulham on Thursday evening.
