Thomas Tuchel heaps praise on experience forward, labels him a perfect athlete

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has nothing but words of praise for striker Oliver Giroud and Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani as he insists that they inspire their teammates.

Manchester United and Chelsea will be facing off in a thrilling affair on Sunday and Oliver Giroud and Edinson Cavani have been defying all odds by putting in an impressive performance.

Thomas Tuchel who has worked with Cavani at Paris Saint-Germain and now Olivier Giroud at Chelsea has now heaped praise on both stars as he noted that they are perfect athletes.

Speaking ahead of the match, Tuchel stated that when you look at Giroud when they switch shirts; they are fit, their fitness is key, he has zero body fat, same as Cavani.

The former Paris Saint-Germain manager stated that Cavani is a player like Giroud who as a No 9 is always concerned about the team, will suffer for the team, always ready to sacrifice, always ready to do runs to open spaces.

The noted that this is the characteristic of them both and then in the box, they are both excellent finishers, they are experienced, they don’t get nervous and they both have composure.

Not leaving any stone unturned, Tuchel added that they are both top quality strikers, top-quality No 9s and for me, their fitness and self-discipline is key to their success.

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping Oliver Giroud come on top when both teams meet on Sunday.
