Man Utd have improved in their last few matches and are currently a serious contender in the EPL as well as Uefa Europa League.

The Red Devils made it to the next round of the Europa League after they defeated Real Sociedad.

One of the players that have been instrumental to the Red Devils improvement this season is former Paris Saint-German PSG player, Edison Cavani.

However, Cavani has been caught up in a transfer rumour that could see him leave Old Trafford in the summer.

If this happens, Man Utd will have to pay the Uruguayan international €2 million.

According to ESPN reports, Manchester United will have to pay Cavani about €2million, if they decide not to extend his one-year contract.

A report revealed that Man Utd are waiting to see how Cavani has been able to recover from injury as he is unlikely to start on Sunday’s Premier League clash at Chelsea.

His performance when he returns will determine the decision the Red Devils will take about his future at Old Trafford.

The reports hinted that United are happy with Cavani’s impact so far in the team following a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The two sides have the option to terminate the deal in the coming summer transfer window but a penalty fee will apply if United are the ones that ended the contract.
