Former Arsenal legend Martin Keown in a statement, has applauded Germany international and Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger for his impressive performance at the club.

Keown went on to describe Rudiger as a ‘real driving force’ for Chelsea.

The Arsenal legend made this known after the Blues defeated Leeds United 3-2 on Saturday as he added that he loves watching the German play.

Rudiger, during the game, earned two second-half penalties for the Blues, which were both converted by Jorginho.

He was impressive with his pressing and marauding runs into the box vs Leeds United over the weekend as the Blues went on to win all three points from the match.

Keown described Rudiger as a ‘nuisance to play against’.

“He’s a real driving force for Chelsea – I love watching him play,’ Keown told BBC’s Match of the Day.

“I was an aggressive defender myself, but I think this guy takes it to another level.

“When he gets the ball, he likes to run forward. The fans love him there because he makes things happen.

“Defensively – he’s so aggressive. He just shuts the door. So aggressive, strong, and he really leads from the back.

“He’s a nuisance to play against and he’s been outstanding for them.”
