Reports: Liverpool preparing bid for Bayern Munich’s forward
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a bid that will bring Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman to Anfield this summer.
Jurgen Klopp’s team were favourites to win the Premier League last season, but things took a shocking twist as they couldn’t make the top four until the previous day.
Liverpool finished the season in third place and are eager to win back the title by bringing in new talents.
The reds have been linked with some players in Europe, but a new report from Spanish outlet Fichajes claim Jürgen Klopp’s club is keen on bringing Coman to Anfield.
Kingsley Coman’s deal with Bayern Munich is coming to an in 2023, and the Bundesliga Champion will have to sell him this summer if they want to make a profit from it.
It won’t be easy to get a good value for Coman if he has just a year left in his contract, and Liverpool are willing to use this as a win for both parties.
Liverpool are not willing to pay more than 35 million for Coman, but Bayern Munich values him at least 50 million, a move that might serve as a stumbling block.
It would be left to Coman to decide on his next club.
