Rashford no longer at his best – Former Chelsea star
Former Chelsea player Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has hit out at Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford over his performance for the Red Devils this season.
Hasselbaink opined that the English player is no longer passionate about playing football.
It is no news that Rashford’s form has declined after he scored 30 goals in manager Erik ten Hag’s first year at Old Trafford.
While he didn’t get a call up to England’s squad for the Euro 2024 campaign in Germany, Hasselbaink, who was part of the coaching team at the Euros, advised that the Manchester United star to work on his body language and work rate.
Hasselbaink speak on Genting Casino via Mirror said when one looks at Rashford and his body language, it looks like football is no longer his main priority.
The former Chelsea star who admitted that Rashford is a good player, said when the forward was at his top level, he used to sprint so much and run in behind the defence.
Hasselbaink added that Rashford used to work so hard running at defenders, but he no longer sees that in him anymore.
Meanwhile, Man Utd will return to action against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, in a match that could determine Ten Hag’s future.
