Pochettino’s replacement: Chelsea considering Brighton manager
Chelsea have been reported to be planning to take a decision on Mauricio Pochettino’s future at Stamford Bridge.
Following the Blues 5-0 defeat to Arsenal, the pressure has seen fans calling for Arteta’s sack.
Amid the Blues’ woes, they have reportedly linked with moves for Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi to a list of potential replacements for Mauricio Pochettino.
Recall that the Argentine arrived as Chelsea manager last summer, signing an initial two-year deal with an option to extend by a further year.
While Pochettino has only spent one season at Stamford Bridge, he has been faced with uncertain future following a woeful campaign.
The Blues in other tournaments like reaching the final of the EFL Cup and the semi-final of the FA Cup, where they were kicked out by Man City.
However, the same can’t be said about their form in the Premier League as they find it hard to maintain the consistency, having won 13, drawn eight and lost 11 of their 32 games.
The Blues are 9th on the league table and would end the season with no trophy.
