Manchester City are still leading the race to Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur as Manchester United have stepped back following the arrival of Jadon Sancho.

Pep Guardiola is willing to strengthen his frontline after losing Sergio Aguero left on a free transfer to sign for Barcelona.

With Manchester City yet to agree a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Harry Kane, Trevor Sinclair has urged Pep Guardiola to go for Tammy Abraham this summer instead of spending around £160m on Kane.

Tammy Abraham impressed for Chelsea under Frank Lampard as he bagged 18 goals across all competitions from his 47 appearances.

However, he has been frozen out of the team ever since Thomas Tuchel replaced Abraham as the club manager.

Currently valued at 23-year-old at around £40m, Sinclair while speaking with TalkSport urged Guardiola to go for Abraham rather than Kane.

According to Sinclair, Abraham is a young player and with Pep Guardiola’s coaching ability and the teammates around him, he’s a top player.

Sinclair noted that the season Abraham had at Aston Villa and then he went back to Chelsea and did very well.

The former Manchester City player noted that Abraham is handful, his pace, he looks to stretch the lines, he’s a finisher.

Sinclair added that no player’s perfect, especially at 22 or 23, but there’s a lot of growth there with Abraham.
