Napoli in talks to extend Chelsea target contract
Italian Seria A side Napoli are said to be in talks with Victor Osimhen’s agent in a bid to extend his stay at the club.
This is coming days after Napoli won the Serie A title this season after 33 years.
A report via Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli revealed president of the club, Aurelio De Laurentiis is having direct negotiations with the forward’s agent, Roberto Calenda.
This is coming a few days after De Laurentiis assured Napoli fans he won’t allow Osimhen to leave the club this summer.
With the look of things, Napoli are determined to hand the Nigerian forward to a new long-term contract.
Osimhen, who has been impressive this season has been linked with moves to the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
He has scored 23 league goals this season and is the favourite to be crowned top scorer in Serie A.
Osimhen was signed for €75m plus various add-ons from Ligue 1 club, Lille in September 2020 while his current contract with Napoli doesn’t end until June 2025.
