Mauricio Pochettino is set to sign three players to Chelsea when he finally takes charge of the club at the end of the season.

This comes as a report via the Daily Mail revealed the former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur manager could be unveiled as Chelsea’s permanent manager this week.

However, the Argentine will have to wait until the summer to start work, with Frank Lampard currently in charge on an interim basis till the end of the season.

While the Blues have splashed almost £600m on new signings under Todd Boehly, Pochettino is also set to bring in fresh faces ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

It is believed that the former Tottenham boss wants a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and striker during his first transfer window at Stamford Bridge and will favour players with Premier League pedigree.

Pochettino who already wants to make new signings, will also need to offload several players, not only to trim Chelsea’s bloated squad but also to raise some funds.
