Mohamed Salah set to set new Liverpool record if new contract is signed

Liverpool are currently silent in the transfer window as the reds have added just a player to their squad, Ibrahima Konate who joined from RB Leipzig.

Though the reds have been linked with players across Europe, it’s not feasible that Jurgen Klopp will be signing a new player this summer.

However, the reds have been working tirelessly to renew the contract of their star players with the likes of Alisson, Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold putting pen to paper.

Virgil van Dijk have also extended his stay at Liverpool and all eyes are now set on Mohamed Salah who has become the club’s most priced asset.

Salah has been linked with a move to top clubs in Europe and Liverpool will have to break a new record in their club to keep him.

The Egyptian was instrumental for Liverpool last season despite that they fail to win a silverware as he was the second highest goal scorer in the Premier League.

If Liverpool are to keep their new star, Salah will have to become the club’s highest earner as he’s currently the joint-highest earner in the club’s history.

Any deal that will be signed by the Egyptian forward will have to surpass the existing one or else the reds might lose him to a rival.

Salah sees his future anywhere other than Liverpool, it is just about giving the 29-year-old the terms he deserves.
