Mac Allister hails Chelsea star after 1-1 draw vs Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has reacted to their game vs Chelsea over the weekend as he pointed out one Chelsea star who was an exception during the match.

Allister in a post-match statement applauded Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez following his performance during their 1-1 Premier League draw on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

According to Mac Allister, Fernandez is a great player, stressing that he is happy for his fellow Argentina compatriot.

“I have already faced him [Fernandez] several times,” Mac Allister told Paramount Plus.

“I have played with him; he is a great player. I respect him a lot. I have a great relationship. Today, he showed why they paid what they paid for him, why he is here, and it makes me happy for him, obviously.”

While Mac Allister moved to Liverpool from Brighton this summer, Fernandez joined the Blues during the January transfer window.

The two stars were impressive for Argentina during the Qatar world cup in 2022.
