Lukaku advised not to promise what he can’t deliver
Belgium international and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has been advised not to promise what he can’t deliver.
This advice was passed by former Inter Milan striker Diego Milito in a recent statement on Wednesday ahead of Inter Milan’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
Milito, who seems disappointed by Lukaku’s decision to return to Stamford Bridge, stressed that Inter Milan fans were unhappy with the 28-year-old’s allegiance before moving to Stamford Bridge.
Recall that Lukaku helped Inter Milan win the Seria A title last season, and it came as a shock to many after he revealed his intention to join Chelsea.
“As for Lukaku, there is one thing you should never do: promise what you can’t deliver,” Milito told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Milito recounted how he was close to Real Madrid and PSG but still chose Inter as a life choice.
The former Inter Milan striker noted that he was at the top and was happy as he declared that San Siro will always be home to him.
Milito was at Inter Milan for two seasons when Jose Mourinho was in charge at San Siro; he won two Serie A titles in the league.
