Liverpool have joined the list of top clubs that are reportedly eyeing David Alaba as he continue to see out his last year at Bayern Munich.

David Alaba is entering the final six months of his contract with Bayern Munich, a club he has won all the trophies available including two Champions League titles, the last which he won last season.

The Austria international situation has created a legacy at Bayern Munich as he has spent over a decade at the club playing in different positions and this has seen top clubs in Europe queuing for his signature.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been tipped as the early candidate for his signature but Liverpool have now joined due to the options he will add to any team he joins.

Alaba can play as a defensive midfielder despite being known for playing as a left-back or centre-back and Jurgen Kloop is a big admirer of such talent.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the Premier League champion will be going all out for Alaba during the transfer window as they hope to strike a bargain with Bayern Munich just as they lure Thiago Alcantara to their team last summer.

Reports also have it that Manchester City are contenders for his signature as Pep Guardiola will love to be reunited with a player he coached during his time at Bayern Munich.
