Kante, Mount, others update ahead of game vs Real Madrid

Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has given an update on some of the Blues players ahead of their Wednesday match vs Spanish side Real Madrid in the UCL.

The players are N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, César Azpilicueta and Marcus Bettinelli.

Recall that Kante, Mount, Azpilicueta and Bettinelli were all missing in action during Chelsea’s Premier League 1-0 defeat against Wolves on Saturday.

The Wolves picked all three points against Chelsea thanks to Matheus Nunes’ only goal.

Giving an update on the four players, Lampard said in a post-match press conference after Wolves defeated Chelsea, “Kante is managing his fitness.

“Azpi is nearly fit, needs a little bit of fitness. Mason had a feeling in his pelvic area, the injury he has been carrying.

“Bettinelli has a small problem,” the Englishman added.

Chelsea will hope to emerge winner against the Los Blancos as winning the Champions League is their last hope of playing in Europe next season.
