Former Man City star says he would be devastated if Sterling joins Chelsea
Chelsea are among the many clubs that have shown interest in Man City’s Raheem Sterling and it seems they are close to reaching an agreement.
However, former Man City star Micah Richards while reacting to Sterling’s link to Chelsea said he would be devastated if the English football star finally moves to Stamford Bridge.
Richards in his statement said he doesn’t want Sterling to leave Pep Guardiola’s side.
He told Sky Sports News: “We don’t want Raheem to go. I would be devastated.
“Manchester City are still well-equipped to have anybody in that position and still do well.”
He added, “But Raheem, for me, is a Man City legend and I would not want to see him go. I think he is underappreciated if I am totally honest. It is not just his goals and assists, it is the runs he makes in behind for the team and he is a team player, so I don’t want him to go.”
