The latest reports have revealed that former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte has reached a two-year agreement deal with Tottenham Hotspurs.

This comes after the Hotspurs sacked their coach Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday morning after they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, which happened to be Santo’s ninth defeat from 17 matches at the club.

While the duo of Sergio Conceicao and Paulo Fonseca were earlier on named as some of the potential successors to take over at Tottenham Hotspurs, the recent reports however made it known that all attention are on Conte to become the next manager at the North London club.

Popular journalist Alfredo Pedulla in a  recent statement, disclosed that Conte has reached an agreement with the Spurs and will sign a contract that will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2023.

Conte is expected to fly to London on Monday to finalise his return to the English Premier League.

During his stay at Chelsea, Conte lifted the Premier League trophy and FA Cup and recorded 51 of his 76 top-flight games.

He also won the Italian Seria A with Inter Milan last season, after which he left the club.

Conte’s move to Tottenham means he is ruled out of any move to Man Utd, who were interested in signing him as a replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
