The Three Lions of England will be in action on Sunday in their opening match against Serbia in Germany at the Euro 24.

Ahead of the match, former Man Utd star Nemanja Matic dropped his prediction about the game.

The 35-year-old star who left Old Trafford in 2022 and now plays for Lyons spoke about his expectations from group C.

While England are among the favourites to emerged winners, Serbia who they will play against today recently qualified for the first time as an independent nation.

Serbia led by Dragan Stojkovic finished runners-up behind Hungary to book a place at the tournament in Germany and are looking to forward to making it out of the group stage for the first time since 2000, when they competed as Yugoslavia.

Matic identified a primary threat for the Three Lions to take into consideration when they play against Serbia in the person of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Mitrovic, who currently plays for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia was in the Premier League for eight years playing for Newcastle United and Fulham.

The striker is Serbia’s all-time leading scorer, with 58 international goals to his name.

Mitrovic will look to combine with the likes of Dusan Tadic and club-mate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to defeat Gareth Southgate’s men.
