According to the recent report, the English Football Association, FA, has decided over coach Gareth Southgate’s future as England manager ahead of Sunday’s Euro 2024 final against Spain.

Recall that the Three Lions made it to the final after they defeated the Netherlands earlier this week.

A report via the Daily Mirror disclosed that the FA want Southgate to keep his job as England manager no matter the outcome of the final game in Berlin against Spain who defeated France.

The Three Lions manager has a contract that ends in December. He was widely expected to exit the role at the end of the deal.

With the look of things, Southgate is likely going to retain his job as England boss.

So far, he has emerged as the first man to lead England to two successive European Championship finals.

Although, there are speculations that he is interested in club football with Manchester United previously considering him as a replacement for Erik ten Hag, however, the FA are keen to reward his eight years of progress.

Meanwhile, it would be a major boost for Southgate if his team can defeat Spain when they meet on Sunday.
