EPL: Potter gives update on Cucurella ahead of game vs Wolves
Chelsea manager Graham Potter during his press conference gave an update on defender Marc Cucurella.
Potter said Cucurella is now completely recovered from his recent illness as he hinted at the chances of him making it to the squad against Wolves this weekend.
‘He’s fully recovered now, he just needed the time. He was on the bench against Milan so he’s had more time, more recovery and he will be involved tomorrow.’
Aside from Cucurella, there are chances Jorginho and Kai Havertz could also both play after coming off the bench during the second half against Italian club AC Milan following injury, and Edouard Mendy was among the substitutes for the first time in over a month when the Blues faced the Italian champions.
On the part of the Wolves, they will be without their new signing Sasa Kalajdzic, who sustained a knee injury last month.
Pedro Neto went off injured against West Ham, and Hee-Chan Hwang is also a major doubt with an adductor muscle strain. Another attacker, Raul Jimenez, is out, as is long-time absentee Chiquinho.
