Chelsea have been handed an injury boost as their midfielder Mateo Kovacic returns to the team ahead of the weekend match vs Leicester City in the EPL.
The Blues head to the game against the Foxes after their 3-0 loss to Leeds United last weekend.
Tuchel confirmed this latest update during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
Kovacic was unavailable during Chelsea’s Premier League 3-0 defeat to Leeds United last week due to injury.
Tuchel hinted the midfielder will be available on the bench during their game vs the Foxes which means he could play.
“Kova is back in the group and ready to play some 20 minutes [against Leicester].
“We miss him as a personality, his experience and his quality. It’s maybe 20 minutes at the moment. It was his first training week without a reaction in the knee, so we cannot rush things otherwise, we will just sabotage our own plans with him.
“We need him long term. It’s good to have him back and as an option on the bench,” Tuchel said.
