Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will rotate some of his players when they return to action against Barrow in the EFL cup tournament on Tuesday.

Defender Marc Cucurella is one of the players who has started every game so far in the league, with him being a key player in Maresca’s squad.

Cucurella could be rested while Ben Chilwell who had been considered much surplus to requirements at Chelsea could get a not to start.

Recall that there are reports of the Blues planning to sell Chilwell in the January transfer window.

While January is still a few months away, Chilwell could get chances to play in Maresca’s squad.

While he is yet to be involved this season, Maresca confirmed he is considering handing the England international some minutes on Tuesday night.

Maresca in a statement via Football London said the likes of Chilwell, Chukwuemeka, George and Acheampong are going to be the ones who will be in the squad vs Barrow.

With fixtures set to get more difficult and challenging in the coming weeks as the Conference League also gets underway, having quality squad depth match fit is essential for the Blues.
