Chelsea will return to action on Sunday when they face Luton Town in the FA Cup, the outcome of the match would have a great impact on Frank Lampard’s job as the Blues manager.

Lampard is currently under pressure at Stamford Bridge owing to the Blues poor performances lately.

Chelsea have fallen seven places in the Premier League in the space of six weeks.

The Blues last good form was in early December, however, they have been unable to maintain the good form since then as they have lost five of their last eight matches, they are also five points outside of the top-four places.

The match against Luton on Sunday is a must-win else Lampard could bid his job goodbye.

According to Mirror UK, Chelsea billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich and the club hierarchy have identified Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, as a possible replacement for Lampard.

The report revealed that why Abramovich has huge respect for Lampard and wants him to succeed at Stamford Bridge, the Russian billionaire will however not tolerate many more mediocre performances, especially after he allowed a £200m spending spree last summer transfer window.

It is also believed that the club management are happy with Rogers performance at Leicester City and would accept him as a replacement.
