Chelsea target wants Arsenal move

Chelsea have been landed a transfer blow in their bid to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli this summer transfer window.

This comes as a recent report claim Osimhen favours a move to Chelsea’s rival Arsenal instead.

It is no longer news that the Nigerian forward has already reached an agreement with Napoli to exit the club this summer.

He has been linked with a return to the French Ligue 1 where he could join Paris Saint-Germain.

Osimhen has an £86 million asking price which clubs like Chelsea can’t pay this summer which made them consider a loan deal.

A report via Corriere dello Sport claimed that the Emirates Stadium is Osimhen’s most favored destination via The Boot Room, and not Stamford Bridge.

Mikel Arteta’s side are in need of an out-and-out number nine this summer.

The North London club could focus on their Brazilian star, Gabriel Jesus, who lost his starting spot towards the end of the last season.

However, the Gunners would still love to have an imposing striker like Osimhen in their squad especially as they will be expected to compete for the Premier League title again this season after finishing second behind Manchester City two seasons in a row.
