Chelsea target could retire in Al-Nassr

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo, in a recent statement, has ruled out the possibility of him returning to Europe to join a new club after his stint with Al-Nassr.

This means the football star may be considering retiring in Asia.

Ronaldo made this known at his debut conference during his unveiling as an Al-Nassr player on Tuesday where he said his work in Europe is done.

The 37-year-old joined Al-Nassr as a free agent last Friday after his contract with Manchester United was terminated.

“In Europe, my work is done, “Ronaldo said in his first news conference on Tuesday.

“I won everything, I played for the most important clubs in Europe and now it is a new challenge in Asia.”

Ronaldo also said he is ready to play and could make his debut in Saudi Arabia next game.

He said: “I’m a unique player. I beat all the records in Europe. I want to beat a few records here.

“This contract is unique but I’m a unique player, so for me it’s normal. I really don’t worry about what people say. I am really, really happy to be here.

“I know the league is very competitive, I saw many games. I hope to play after (Wednesday) if the coach thinks there’s a chance. I’m ready to keep playing football.”
