Chelsea star hails West Ham, says win was a boost

Chelsea star and America International Christian Pulisic who scored the lone goal for the Blues during their EPL match vs West Ham on Sunday has said the recent win is a boost for the team.

Pulisic also hailed West Ham for their tough defence.

West Ham deployed a deep block, with Chelsea attempting 26 shots compared to the visitors six and Pulisic said it was not a surprise it took time to break the deadlock.

‘West Ham defended very well,’ added Pulisic.

‘They play with a low block and sometimes it is hard to break through. Sometimes you have to be patient and in the second half we stepped it up.

‘It feels good. We want to be secure in the top four. There are still some matches left and this was a good step in the right direction,’ he added.

‘It was really good. We needed a home win, obviously it feels great in front of our fans. Some big league games, then the FA Cup final, so this is a good boost for us.’
