Chelsea have reached a personal agreement with Villarreal’s Nicolas Jackson ahead of next season.

It is no longer news that Chelsea’s new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on signing a new striker as the latest report claim he has identified Jackson as a potential solution to the Blues’ striking issues.

Chelsea made use of Kai Havertz as their main striker last season but the Germany star struggled in front of goal and has now been strongly linked with a move away from the west London side this summer.

Chelsea will also see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave this summer following his disastrous spell at the club.

Another of the Blues striker Romelu Lukaku will be allowed to leave thjs summer, which is why Pochettino has made signing a new striker the top priority for his first transfer window.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen but Jackson, who has a €35 million (£29.8m) release clause, seems to be a cheaper option for the Blues who have splashed millions in the last two windows with nothing to show for it.
