Chelsea prepare to spend £200m this summer
The Blues are apparently set to burn through £200m during this present summer’s transfer window, in spite of previously finishing deals for Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
Chelsea have boosted their attacking alternatives for next season by bringing both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to the club, while Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz keeps on being connected with a move to Stamford Bridge.
As per report, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard needs at least three additional signings this summer, with West Ham United’s Declan Rice, Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz at the top of the lists.
The report asserts that another new goalkeeper could also arrive because of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s struggles, implying that the club’s spending ahead of next season could reach £200m.
Chelsea are believed to be set to pay £60m for Kai Havertz this summer, however Bayer Leverkusen have demanded that they won’t sell the 21-year-old for nothing less than his £90m valuation.
Chelsea completed fourth in the 2019-20 Premier League table to guarantee that they would be available in next season’s Champions League.
