Chelsea not favourite to win EPL title

While Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp in a recent statement has said Chelsea are one of the favourites to lift the EPL this season owing to the kind of players they have and the team structure, the Blues coach, Frank Lampard has however played it down.

While Chelsea are currently seated at the 3rd spot on the EPL table behind Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, Lampard however believes his side are not favourites to win this season.

Lampard in his statement stated that Liverpool, Manchester City, United and Tottenham Hotspur have higher chances of winning than the Blues.

The former England player cited Liverpool’s recent performance against Wolves as an example as he stressed that many of the Reds key players were not available but they still won effortlessly.

“Even with injuries, you look at the squad Liverpool put out last night with players missing and it’s a very good side. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are in the frame too,” Lampard told Sky Sports.

Lampard added that Liverpool and Manchester City happens to be everyone’s favourites to win and going with the form they have had over the past three or four years and how they have built up their squad, they stand higher chances.
