Chelsea loanee hits out at veteran manager for lack of trust
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi currently on loan at Crystal Palace has hit out at the club manager Roy Hodgson for not believing and trusting him at the club.
Batshuayi is currently on loan at Crystal Palace but he has not been able to secure game time scoring just one goal in seven starts under Hodgson.
However, his form at Crystal Palace did not stop from being picked for national team duty as he was selected to start Belgium’s World Cup qualifier against Belarus on Tuesday.
He made his mark by scoring the opening goal in the 8-0 thrashing but did not hold back on his relief to be playing for his country over his club.
Speaking with reporters, Batshuayi stated that he got a breath of renewed energy when he comes into the national team because it’s very hard for him at my club.
The 27-year-old stated that the club and the national team are different, the coach, the team members and the system are different from that at Palace.
According to Batshuayi, with Belgium, he feels a lot of trust from the coach, trust that he does not at Crystal Palace.
He noted that with Roberto Martinez, they talk to each other a lot, even when he’s back at my club, the Belgium manager give 200% not to disappoint him.
Batshuayi record at Belgium is impressive as he has scored an impressive 22 goals in 33 internationals, more than he’s managed in the last five club seasons in total.
