Chelsea legend tips youngster to be the future captain of England

Chelsea legend John Terry believes youngster Mason Mount has what it takes to captain the London club and England national team in the nearest future.

Mason Mount has become one of Chelsea’s top stars ever since he broke into the team after a successful spell in the youth set-up.

The young midfielder became a prominent player under the guidance of Frank Lampard and has continued the good form under Thomas Tuchel.

Terry who also came the youth rank at Chelsea stated that Mount has the credentials needed to be a future Chelsea and England captain.

He made this known on Wednesday morning while speaking on his Instagram live.

The former Chelsea captain stated that Mason Mount is 100 per cent future Chelsea captain.

According to the Aston Villa assistant coach, Mount has been the best player at Chelsea this season, to be honest, and he’s a great lad, trains unbelievably well, is Chelsea through and through and shows leadership qualities.

Not leaving any stone unturned, Terry added that in his mind, Mount will be Chelsea and England captain.

Mason Mount will be eager to continue his impressive performance to keep getting a recommendation from the likes of John Terry.

However, he would have to maintain his form to continue to enjoy more playing time under Tuchel.
