Chelsea keen on keeping striker despite injury
A report via the Evening Standard has revealed Chelsea striker Armando Broja, who has been tipped to return for pre-season after recovering from a knee injury that kept him sidelined until the end of the season, will not be sold by the Chelsea hierarchy this summer.
Recall that Broja sustained an injury during a friendly match against Aston Villa in Abu Dhabi in December, which saw his season come to an end.
Despite being on the sideline for a long time, the youngster, who is already back in light training after a full recovery, will remain available for the Blues’ preseason games under their new manager.
Broja, who is an academy player has played in 12 Premier League games with only one goal to his name.
While Chelsea want to keep Broja, the Blues are said to be planning to let at least 10 of their players leave.
