Chelsea January signing tipped to be a key player next season
Ukraine caretaker manager, Ruslan Rotan has tipped Chelsea’s January signing Mykhailo Mudryk to play a ‘key role’ in the Blues squad next season.
According to Rotan, Mudryk is positively motivated after the 22-year-old witnessed a slow start to his Premier League career.
Recall that Mudryk moved to Chelsea in an £ 89 million deal from Shakhtar Donetsk in January.
He is, however, yet to score his first goal for the Blues despite the millions they splashed to get his deal done.
“Mykhailo is a great talent and fulfilling his potential is right ahead of him,” Rotan said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Ukraine’s Euro 2024 qualifier against the Three Lions of England on Sunday.
“In a couple of months’ time he will play a key role in the Premier League. He is one of the diamonds in our team and we cherish him.
“He is very motivated to play at Wembley. He is one of the key players. He is very positive and we look forward to his future with great optimism,” he added.
