Chelsea remain in active negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over the potential signing of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, as the club looks to strengthen its options on the left wing ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 20-year-old England U21 international has been a long-standing target for the Blues, and while their initial £42 million bid was rejected, Chelsea are preparing a renewed offer, with Dortmund understood to be holding out for a fee closer to £50 million.

Speaking on the matter, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl confirmed that discussions with Chelsea are ongoing but emphasized that the Bundesliga side will not be pressured into accepting less than their valuation. Gittens is regarded as one of the club’s most promising young talents, and any departure would come at a premium.

Chelsea, however, remain confident in securing the player’s signature. football.london reports that the Blues have already reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Gittens, who is open to a move to Stamford Bridge and sees it as the next step in his development.

A new left winger is considered a top priority for Chelsea this summer, particularly with Mykhailo Mudryk currently suspended. Bynoe-Gittens’ pace, creativity, and Premier League potential have made him a standout candidate to compete for a starting role under Enzo Maresca.

As talks continue, Chelsea hope to finalize a deal that would bring one of England’s brightest young talents to west London.
