Chelsea handed Felix’s boost
Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost by Spanish club Atletico Madrid over a permanent deal for Joao Felix
This comes as Felix who arrived at Chelsea on loan over his unimpressive form struggling at Atletico Madrid will not have an easy way back to the Wanda Metropolitano if the Blues refused to sign him permanently.
The Portuguese forward is reportedly so unpopular back at Atletico that he is only in contact with two of his former team-mates, and that may make Chelsea’s plans to keep him easier to complete.
“Felix himself recently hinted that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge when his loan deal expires at the end of the campaign,” the Sun reports.
“And his chances of joining Chelsea have been boosted following reports that Felix’s Atletico team-mates are “sick to the teeth of him”.”
Felix has been impressive at Chelsea so far, with the Blues looking forward to handing him a permanent deal.
