Former West Ham and Juventus forward Paolo Di Canio has blasted Belgium international and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku over his six-game goal drought in the EPL.

This comes as Lukaku was being compared to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who has emerged as one of the best strikers in the Italian Seria.

Di Canio stressed that Lukaku could not be compared to the Nigerian international as stressing that he is not dull like the Belgium striker.

He noted that the Blues are currently on top of the Premier League log even without Lukaku’s goals.

Recall that Ben Chilwell gave the Blues their lone goal during their recent win over Brentford over the weekend.

In his last six appearances, Lukaku has now gone without a goal for the Blues.

“I heard Inter icon turned pundit Giuseppe Bergomi comparing Victor Osimhen and Lukaku. But Osimhen has a different spirit, he’s not dull like him,” Di Canio told Sky Sports Italia’s Calcio Club.

“When the difficulty increased, he scored no goals in five games with Chelsea. And it’s not Chelsea’s fault, they are top of the table even without his goals,” he added.
