Chelsea goalkeeper told he can leave in the summer
Chelsea goalie Edouard Mendy has been permitted by the club’s hierarchy to leave in the summer transfer window.
This was made public in a report via Sunday Mirror which revealed that Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for Mendy this summer.
This is part of the club’s plan to trim manager Graham Potter’s squad at the end of the season and Mendy has been told by the Blues that he can leave the west London club.
Mendy has made an appearance for Chelsea since November and has been working his way back to fitness after undergoing surgery on a fractured finger at the start of January.
The Senegal star will still have two years remaining on his current contract with Chelsea at the end of the season.
This is coming after the 31-year-old recently rejected the Blues’ offer of a new deal earlier this season.
