Chelsea goalkeeper Ted Curd has joined the several players who have left the Premier League west London club this summer.

The recent reports disclosed that Curd exited Stamford Bridge to join National League South side Hampton & Richmond.

The 18-year-old goalie moved to Hampton & Richmond on a season-long loan deal.

This means he would not have the chance to play under Chelsea’s new boss, Enzo Maresca, next campaign.

Curd’s temporary exit was confirmed by Chelsea in a statement via their official website on Sunday.

The Blues wished their goalkeeper luck at his new club.

Recall that Curd was named on the Blues’ first-team bench during their home leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough and in an away match at Aston Villa during the second half of the 2023/24 season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca is expected to officially resume duties on Monday, July 1.

He is expected to start assembling players that would play under him next season as they Blues hope to compete for trophies.

Maresca is expected to be in charge when the Blues play Wrexham in a friendly match later this month.
