The summer transfer window has been trailed by rumours of players joining and exiting a club.

Amid the rumours, a recent report has claimed Italian side AC Milan are interested in signing Carney Chukwuemeka as their manager Paulo Fonseca focuses on midfield reinforcements.

A report via Gianluca Di Marzio disclosed that AC Milan could target Chukwuemeka this summer transfer window.

There are speculations that the former Aston Villa star could be considered surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge should the west London club proceed with their plans to sign new midfielders this summer.

Should Chelsea sign a new midfielder this summer, it is believed that AC Milan plot to make a move for Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka, who moved to Stamford Bridge for £18 million from Aston Villa back in 2022, has suffered numerous injury issues and have not been consistent for Chelsea.

Towards the beginning of last season, the midfielder appeared to have put the injuries behind him, but he suffered a knee issue after scoring his first goal of the season against West Ham, as he went on to miss most of the season, making only nine Premier League appearances overall.

Chelsea will want to make a profit from the sale if they intend to especially if they sign a new midfielder this summer.
