Chelsea complete move for first signing
Chelsea in a recent announcement confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle.
This has made Paez their first signing under their new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino.
This can be regarded as Chelsea’s technical first signing of the summer as the starlet won’t arrive at Stamford Bridge for a couple more seasons.
The Blues signed Paez of Independiente del Valle for €20million, which is about £17.27m, according to Sky Sports.
Paez doesn’t even turn 18 years old for another two years, which is why he can’t move to England yet.
Nevertheless, the versatility of playing very well on the wing or in the middle has attracted Chelsea to him even at the tender age of 16.
Paez has already broken some records in the Ecuadorian first division where he is the youngest debutant and goalscorer.
He also impressed for Ecuador at the Under-20 World Cup with one goal and three assists in the tournament.
