Neymar reacts as Chelsea star breaks his record

Al Hilal forward and Brazil star Neymar Jrn has sent a message to Chelsea’s Estêvão Willian after he broke his 15-year long record in the Brazilian Serie A.

Neymar expressed pride in Willian as he applauded the youngster, while telling the 17-year-old to continue to shine in his career.

Willian has been impressive in South America ahead of his transfer to England next year.

The youngster reached 18 goal record this season over the weekend, which is a new record in the Brazilian top-flight across a single campaign for a player under the age of 18.

The record was previously held by Neymar, who had 16 goals, which he scored during his time at his childhood club Santos in 2009.

Reacting, Neymar posted on his Instagram story about Willian while congratulating him for the broken record.

“May you continue to shine and enchant everyone with your soccer. Fly,” Neymar prayed.

Recall that Willian completed the deal to  join Chelsea from Palmeiras in June.

He is expected to officially move to the Premier League West London club on July 1, 2025, once his 18th birthday has passed.

Hopefully, the Brazil youngster would get a chance to be a part of the Blues first squad when he arrives.
