Bayern Munich’s Thomas Tuchel rates Arsenal ahead of UCL clash

German side Bayern Munich manger Thomas Tuchel has rated Arsenal led by Mikel Arteta as the best club in the English Premier League at the moment.

Addressing the press in a pre-match conference ahead of their Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday, Tuchel admitted his side is “a little behind” the Gunners.

As of now, Arsenal are top of the Premier League, while Bayern Munich, who have struggled to impress this season are 16 points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

“Arsenal are currently the best team in the Premier League, all statistics prove that,” Tuchel said.

“They’re in fantastic form. They define themselves as a team. They’re also the best side in Europe from set pieces.

“We’re a little behind. They’re playing at a consistently high level for the second year in a row and they play with a lot of energy. There’s been a culture change under Arteta.”
