The January transfer window window may be weeks away but football clubs are already being linked with players they could sign.

Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has sent a message to one a player they should sign in January.

Sagna urged the Gunners to make a move for former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The 31-year-old, who is signed to Italian club Juventus is currently serving an 18-month ban for doping offences, but will be eligible to return to action in March 2025.

Pogba, who can also start training in January, is reportedly seeking a fresh start elsewhere.

Sagna opined that the Frenchman would be an ideal addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad, as Arsenal look to unseat Manchester City in the Premier League.

In a statement via Paddy Power, Sagna explained why he feels Pogba would thrive at Arsenal.

According to the former defender, the Premier League suits Paul Pogba and he would love to see him join Arsenal.

Sagna stressed that the midfielder has experience, and performs best when surrounded by young, energetic players.

It is unlikely that Arsenal would be willing to make a move for Pogba considering his age.

We would have to wait till January to see if Arsenal will take to Sagna’s advice.
