Ancelotti to unleash same team that defeated Barcelona vs Chelsea

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he might be playing the same squad that defeated Barcelona 4-0 in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.

This comes as Chelsea will make a trip to Spain on Wednesday where they will face the Catalans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Both clubs head to the game after suffering defeats in their domestic leagues over the weekend. While Real Madrid were beaten 3-2 by Villarreal, Chelsea lost to relegation-battling Wolves.
However, Ancelotti in a statement hinted he would unleash on Chelsea the same starting XI that thrashed Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The Italian manager in a post-match statement after the match against Villarreal at the weekend: “I may repeat the same 11 from the Camp Nou.

“I made a lot of rotations today because the game against Barcelona demanded a lot from us physically and mentally.”
