After defeating Liverpool, Tuchels says his focus is to win the EPL title
Chelsea had a great outing on Thursday night when they played Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield.
The game ended in a 1-0 win for Chelsea and a continuation of Liverpool woes this season.
Before the recent win vs. Liverpool, Chelsea were said to be focusing on making it to the top four in the EPL to qualify for the Uefa Champion League.
However, following the win at Anfield, the Blues new manager, Thomas Tuchel has stated that Chelsea are out to win the Premier League tittle this season.
Chelsea have gone 10 straight games undefeated under Tuchel since the sack of Frank Lampard in January.
This perhaps may be the reason why Tuchel believes the Blues are capable of winning the premier league title this season.
We didn’t think this way,” he told reporters after Chelsea’s win over Jurgen Klopp’s side.
”We have already been in the top four after a win against Newcastle and we cannot lose the focus by looking at fixtures all the time, it does not help,” Tuchel said.
There are still 11 games to go and Tuchel believes it is a long way to close the gap in order to win the title.
