AC Milan slow down in their bid for this Chelsea star
The possible transfer of Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Italian side AC Milan has slowed down amid previous reports he had reached an agreement with the club on a possible transfer this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Loftus-Cheek “did not convince the management due to an investment issue regarding age.”
The report added that the Italian club have instead focused attention on Daichi Kamada, who will be 27 this summer but is a free agent after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt.
This could be related to the fact that they would be able to sign Kamada for free while they would still have to make some payment for Loftus-Cheek, who is also 27 and in the prime of his career.
The slowdown in the bid for Loftus-Cheek may also be related to the recent power shift at Milan this week with the sacking of director and club icon Paolo Maldini and the subsequent departure of sporting director Ricky Massara.
