Spanish giant Real Madrid have joined Chelsea in the race for Lautaro Martinez this summer.

A report by The Times revealed Chelsea will face competition from Los Blancos who are keen on signing Martinez as a replacement for Karim Benzema.

Recall that Benzema made headlines after he decided to bring an end to his run at Santiago Bernabeu and moved to Saudi club Al-Ittihad in a mouthwatering move.

Lautaro is a highly rated striker who has proved his worth as he was in top form for Inter Milan in the second half of the campaign, as they have been successful in reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League, where they will face Manchester City this weekend.

Aside from Lautaro, Madrid has been linked with moves for Tottenham Hotspurs star Harry Kane.

Meanwhile, Chelsea permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a long-time admirer of the Argentine and Inter Milan striker and wants him in his squad.
